Laserfiche Cloud 2023 Updates Now Available!

Laserfiche Connector for iPaaS (Integration as a Platform) – Through a strategic partnership with the Integration Platforms, Boomi and MuleSoft, you can now easily connect Laserfiche’s content management system and process automation to over 100 applications that your company runs on. The Connector is built on top of the Laserfiche API, so you can connect both Laserfiche self-hosted and cloud systems, making it easy to view, save, update, and download Laserfiche documents and metadata all from another application. Explore the Laserfiche Solution Marketplace today to learn more about the platform connectors available. Please also see the Boomi Connectors

Customize Forms Email Display Name – You can create custom sender display names for email messages sent as part of a business process. By default, business process email notifications are shown as being sent by Laserfiche Notification. Process designers can select additional display names when configuring the email services or user task.

OAuth 2.0 Scope Support – OAuth 2.0 scope support has been added for additional security when using the Laserfiche APIs. Scopes allow administrators to indicate what rights can be performed by someone using this connection. See the Laserfiche Developer Center, for information on how to use scopes.

Laserfiche Developer Console Update – In the Laserfiche Developer Console, an option has been added for service applications to create a long-lasting key for authentication. This can be used by applications that are unable to cryptographically sign secrets, such as low-code development platforms.

New Solution Templates – New solutions this month include a Facilities Work Orders and a Care Facilities Survey template.

Updates for Laserfiche 11 Self-Hosted

Laserfiche 11 introduces several new features to make it easier for users to find, work with, and share documents, as well as the introduction of direct share for self-hosted systems, and the release of Audit Trail 11. This release also includes numerous bug fixes and performance improvements.

Direct Share – Laserfiche direct share, now available for self-hosted systems, allows you to share content from the Laserfiche repository with external users through the web client. When you send documents through direct share, the recipient will receive a unique and anonymized URL that they can use to access the files for a limited period of time. You can add a password, and specify the number of days until the URL expires. The sender will receive notifications when the content was viewed, and they or a repository administrator can see the status of who shared it, with whom, and if and when it was accessed.

Web Client – The Laserfiche web client includes several new improvements to help you find and work with documents.
The search bar at the top of the folder browser now offers several new options for performing quick searches. You can now select a search you’ve recently run to run again, and choose to filter search results by folder location and date created or modified without needing to open the search pane. You can also search by template and field value from quick search.
We have also made it easier to preview images when browsing the repository. You can choose to view the contents of a folder or set of search results as icons. This will display images stored in the repository, such as jpg, bitmap, and png images as thumbnails, and will also display the first page of TIFF imaged documents directly in the folder browser, making it easier to quickly locate the document you want. Folder views are set on a per-folder basis.
Finally, the web client now includes the ability to perform a batch print. The print option will be available when you have selected multiple documents from a folder or set of search results. When you print, the documents will be combined into a single PDF file, which you can then print as you would any other document.

Audit Trail – Laserfiche Audit Trail 11 introduces a new audit reporting experience to make it easier to create and view audit reports. When adding columns to a report, available columns are now grouped together to make them easier to find. There are also many more columns, allowing you to view even more granular information about your repository activity. These include a set of Changes columns that pinpoint what changed during the audited operation. We have also updated the Audit Trail architecture to provide significantly improved performance.

Distributed Computing Cluster – Distributed Computing Cluster adds support for a new Workflow 11 activity that allows you to schedule PDF generation and OCR processing of repository entries. See More Information
