Planned Maintenance on Laserfiche Cloud Repositories
In 2022, Laserfiche migrated the repository storage infrastructure to the Amazon S3 service. Amazon S3 is known in the industry as the benchmark for reliable, resilient, and durable content storage. The migration to Amazon S3 was the first in a two-phase effort to enhance the performance of the Laserfiche repository service. This year, Laserfiche is completing phase two, the Modernization of the repository database infrastructure.
Customer Impact – The updates to all cloud accounts will be staged individually and occur throughout March – June 2024 during off-peak hours (11:00 PM – 3:00 AM). Laserfiche will be contacting Cloud customers directly over the next few weeks to communicate the date of the maintenance window. This will impact access to any repository by users, processes, or other systems. If the downtime will have an adverse impact on your daily business operation, please contact your ECS Customer Success Consultant or Laserfiche Support to arrange an alternative date for the migration.

What’s New in Laserfiche Cloud
Introducing Native Support for Web Requests in Forms – Form Lookup Rules now support Web Request rules from both the form designer and classic form designer. Previously users had to use lookup tables and queries to integrate data with their forms, or they had to implement their own JavaScript to integrate with web APIs. Native access to web request rules in forms lets designers easily integrate 3rd party data sources using potentially complex APIs, including the Laserfiche API. These web request rules are now secured by Laserfiche and the underlying authentication credentials are not exposed to the user like they would be when executed through custom JavaScript.
New Solution Templates – The new Automated Document Downloader solution includes the tools needed to create a workflow-based export of a document from the Laserfiche Cloud repository and have it downloaded to a local file share. Additionally, the Send Calendar Event with Microsoft Outlook / Graph Integration solution integrates with Microsoft Outlook calendar to send calendar invites as part of a Laserfiche process. A Timed Test solution creatively uses custom JavaScript to provide a visual display of time remaining on a test.
Lookup Tables API – Ability to use an API to connect your Lookup Tables with any 3rd party data source so you can do more with your data.
Reporting Capability with PowerBI – Reporting capability will be available for PowerBI so you will be able to export API results into PowerBI and use it for visualization and reporting. Watch Video – Laserfiche Cloud New Releases
What’s New in Laserfiche Self-Hosted
SCIM Updates – Other applications will be able to interact with SAML users and groups similar to current support for Active Directory:
Allow forms tasks to be assigned to users that have not yet logged in
Removes the manual step of mapping a SAML group to LFDS group
Assign license types based on group membership
Show group membership from within the Laserfiche applications
Improves security reporting in the Laserfiche repository
Quickly propagate changes to user information (last name, email)
