Elevating Municipal Clerks to the Next Level in 2024
ECS Imaging has a long history of supporting and keeping the Municipal Clerk industry moving forward with Laserfiche Document Management systems. For the last ten years ECS has hosted, supported and maintained the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) Laserfiche system at no cost to the Institute. This year we provided additional In-kind donation services to migrate IIMC’s self-hosted Laserfiche system to the Laserfiche Cloud hosted environment. We are delighted and honored to be trusted in this new journey to the Laserfiche Cloud for IIMC.
ECS performed the recent migration and training from their existing on-premises system to the Laserfiche Cloud Professional Tier. The new Cloud system brings efficiencies and more features to all from the IIMC office, Board Members and to the members at large. The Cloud based system receives automated updates monthly with all the latest features from Laserfiche and automated daily backups. Their documents can be published using the Weblink Public Portal for members to easily access content. An advantage for all includes the Forms Portal to provide automated business processes internally, and for the members to submit forms electronically to IIMC while the system automatically files the content into Laserfiche.
The International Institute of Municipal Clerks is the premier organization for Municipal Clerks worldwide. A non-profit organization founded in 1947, IIMC has 75 years of experience improving the professionalism of Municipal Clerks. IIMC has more than 15,000 members representing towns, small municipalities and large urban jurisdictions of more than several million people. By offering Laserfiche to IIMC, ECS is also supporting the IIMC Foundation, the fundraising arm of IIMC. The Foundation is the organization that funds all the CMC, MMC, and on-line scholarships. The Foundation also supports IIMC Education Programs with an annual disbursement.
In this collaborative partnership, Laserfiche is hosting the system in the AWS Cloud, also providing a gift in kind back to IIMC at no charge for the licensing and storage. This new hosted environment will provide a safe and easily accessible location for many years for the IIMC and Members. Laserfiche corporate also has an endowment currently valued at $87,810 with the Foundation that funds the Institute Directors Colloquium each year at the annual conference.

We would like to recognize Colleen Nicol (retired City Clerk) who has been a very instrumental contributor over our 10 year partnership, and for this Cloud migration. Her years of experience as a Municipal Clerk has provided the IIMC Foundation’s oversight and direction for their electronic document management success with Laserfiche.
