What’s New in Laserfiche Cloud
Capture Enhancements – Capture Profile zones will now return a blank value when a zone’s anchor is not found on the page, rather than capturing the text at the zone’s location. This behavior matches the expectation that if a field is not part of a document, its value will be blank. It also allows Workflow to respond to blank vs. filled fields and process documents accordingly.
New Solution Templates – New solution templates include an example of a multi-step quiz and a workflow that can replace a Lookup Table’s content with data from a spreadsheet. Additionally, the new Point Submission & Redemption solution lets you efficiently administer a rewards program. For example, a Customer Champions initiative in which users can earn points for performing specified activities and then later redeem accumulated points for prizes.
New Course Available: Overview of Repository Security
Laserfiche is excited to announce the launch of a new course: Overview of Repository Security. This eLearning course can be accessed in Aspire, at no cost.
Course Description: This course is intended to give you ideas of what you can do with the security features in Laserfiche to help meet the needs of your organization. The content includes definitions and best practices for how to set security efficiently. It goes over the following topics at a high level with some examples: groups, feature rights, entry access rights and scope, field and template rights, privileges, and inheritance. This course is based on Laserfiche Cloud and the content also applies to Laserfiche 11.
Course Objectives: By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
Identify the different concepts related to repository security; like groups, inheritance, and scope.
Differentiate between application access, entry access rights, feature rights, and privileges.
Determine how to apply all of the security features in Laserfiche to help meet your organization needs.

Laserfiche has launched a new course: Introduction to Laserfiche Connector. This eLearning course can be accessed in Aspire, at no cost.
Course Description: In this course, you will learn what Laserfiche Connector is and how to configure Connector profiles. This course is based on Laserfiche 11 and the content also applies to Cloud.
Course Objectives: By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Describe Laserfiche Connector and its purpose.
Identify the various uses of Laserfiche Connector.
Design a Laserfiche Connector profile.

New Course Available: Records Management with Laserfiche
Laserfiche has announced the launch of a new course: Records Management with Laserfiche. This eLearning course can be accessed in Aspire, at no cost.
Course Description: Records Management with Laserfiche will teach learners basic terms related to records management: the concept of records management, the function of records managers, and what a records management lifecycle is. From there, the course will review cutoff actions, the various cutoff instructions users can create using Laserfiche, retention schedules and disposition options, as well as why users may wish to place holds on records. This course applies to both Laserfiche Cloud and Laserfiche 11.
Course Objectives: By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Define what records management is and be able to identify each phase in the records management lifecycle.
Understand the following records management concepts and terms: Cutoffs, Holds, Retention Schedules, Disposition Options.
