ECS Imaging’s ArcGIS Integration with Laserfiche
ECS’s ArcGIS Integration with Laserfiche enhances efficiency by seamlessly connecting the ArcGIS platform with Laserfiche’s Document Management System. This integration enables users to view, search, and upload documents, and directly manage documents within Laserfiche from the ArcGIS interface.
- Dynamic Mapping: The ArcGIS map automatically highlights features that are linked to documents stored in Laserfiche.
- Feature Services: Laserfiche documents, folders, and their metadata appear as ArcGIS feature services, fully compatible with ArcGIS 10.1+ functionalities. Documents are treated as attachments within feature layers, accessible through Laserfiche Web Access or WebLink.
Features:
- Access Control: Documents or folders can be set as read-only for public users or read/write for internal users.
- Layer Integration: Laserfiche layers are derived from existing ArcGIS layers, with metadata mapping to ArcGIS fields. Multiple layers can be created for different document sets.
- Real-Time Data: Geo-coordinates from ArcGIS are instantly reflected in Laserfiche, ensuring up-to-date mapping.
- Attribute Display: Attributes from ArcGIS are shown alongside Laserfiche documents on the map.
- Document Retrieval: Documents can be accessed based on templates, fields, or folder paths within Laserfiche.
- Built in upload/attach feature to LF from within the ArcGIS application that applies metadata from the record shown in ArcGIS at that time.
- The ability to delete documents in LF directly from ArcGIS.

Laserfiche Cloud – New Customer Assist Role Replaces SupportUser Account
During certain troubleshooting scenarios, it may become necessary to grant an ECS support engineer access to your Laserfiche Cloud resources. Laserfiche Cloud customer accounts include a built-in system account named SupportUser. Recently, the SupportUser account was replaced by a new CustomerAssist role which utilizes a centralized access control mechanism that does not require sharing sensitive authentication credentials.
The CustomerAssist role will not alter how our support team works with you; However, it will provide a more secure way to access your account and audit CustomerAssist activity.

Laserfiche Cloud – SCIM Group Licensing Capabilities for Laserfiche Cloud
Customers currently using SCIM can update their configurations to take advantage of groups to license users. There are many benefits to SCIM group licensing, which uses industry best practice, is more secure, and is a more efficient way to manage users at scale. The rollout will include a two-week notice period, starting October 31st, to help Cloud customers transition their existing SCIM configurations. During the notice period, customers will be able to use the new group license rule configuration interface.

Laserfiche Certification Program Price Adjustment
Effective January 15, 2025 Laserfiche will be adjusting the cost of Laserfiche Certification Program by 6% per course. Certification Courses will increase to $159. The price increase reflects the enhanced learning experiences Laserfiche offers, ensuring the program stays at the forefront of industry standards. Please note that the Certification training material will continue to be offered at no additional cost. Only the Certification Program cost will change.
