Celebrating 30 Years!

Celebrating our 30th year in 2020 is a great accomplishment!  From our Founder, Jim Pappas’ initial vision to help companies implement document imaging to becoming the most successful Laserfiche Solution Provider in the Western USA has been a wonderful journey. Leading the company with his depth of experience and traditional values gave ECS a foundation of success.

COVID brought many changes this year for everyone and our world. It also brought new opportunities to ECS in unexpected ways. Jim had been contemplating retirement, but once COVID hit, it became a no brainer. Due to the concern of his overall health and safety, he decided to stay home. Over the years, he spent every day in the office, so this was a big change. He was comfortable that Debbi who has been with him since the start, knows the business and could move the torch forward in the new times ahead. Debbi and her significant other Will Wolfe, transitioned formally into the top executive positions to provide a united front to our customers and team members.

Debbi Bodewin serving as Chief Consulting Officer has been with ECS full time for 25 years since graduating from college. At that time is also when ECS began its Laserfiche journey as one of the few pioneers in the West. “In those days you had to educate what a scanner and document imaging was, before anyone could think about implementing it” says Debbi. “Fresh out of college with lots of energy, I gladly wore lots of hats, worked tirelessly and almost for free. We were truly consultants to our customers providing best practices for the industry and the solutions involved. This is still the foundation of what we do today and has fortified us to be the most successful provider in California. Truly an honor to say, and we sincerely could not have done it without all of our wonderful, gracious customers along the way and staff supporting these initiatives.”

Will Wolfe assumed the role of President, when Jim retired. He has been involved with ECS for roughly 14 years dating back to his Panasonic days, so he is very familiar with our business model and shares common goals on customer success.  He is focused on inspiring and motivating ECS employees to focus on exceeding expectations and pushing their goals to new levels. Will is confident this will result in exceptional customer satisfaction, and entry into untapped markets. More importantly, he knows that ECS doesn’t exist without you the customer.

Jim’s 30 year legacy intricately built ECS to where it is today. The ECS family wishes him all the best in his retirement, we know it is well deserved. We thank him for his 30 years of service to ECS and he will be missed. His ECS legacy and mission will continue as we strive to be the preferred resource for Laserfiche Enterprise Content Management Services. We accomplish this by providing industry-leading customer support and by implementing cutting-edge automated solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
